Audiovisual work made in collaboration with Lucciana Bolivar. It was performed live at Exposure festival in Nijverheid, Utrecht.
Cataratas explores metaphorical structures that holds us: memories, desires, imagination, hopes; as well as emptiness and grief. It elaborates what support means through the scope of moving image and collaboration. Lucciana worked with found footage, filming her screen with her Nokia and interpreting tracks individually.
Parte I, La Casa — Spoken word and a monophonic synthesiser.
Parte II, Two hints — Flute overtones and beat frequencies between the flute and the voice. The flute as my voice, and my voice as the flute.
Parte III, Galope, galope — Electronic track. Made for an instrument that is not present.
Parte IV, Iguazú — Flute trills and drum recordings. About a place that I have never been.
